Modern warfare has a complex and varied battlefield environment, and with the invention of new weapons such as anti-radiation missiles and stealth aircraft, modern radars face enormous challenges. The strong clutter in the receiving signal will effect the detection performance of the system. The clutter received by the scattered signal system shows large intensity, wide distribution and strong heterogeneous characteristic. The optimum space-time adaptive processing technology(STAP)can effectively suppress the clutter in an ideal situation. However,in practical scenarios, sufficient training samples cannot be obtained, and because of the considerable computation, the real-time performance of the STAP is not suitable for the system. Therefore, the scope of application in practical projects is very limited. In this paper, based on the scattered target signal system, discussed the clutter suppression methods which are suitable for this kind of actual scene. The main work is as follows:1.Firstly,the working geometric scene of the scattered signal system is introduced. Then explained the principle of airborne radar space-time signal sampling and the specific process of clutter modeling in scattered signals, analyzed the clutter characteristics.Briefly introduced the theory of the STAP technology and the limitations, and proposed a method of clutter suppression method for the scattered signal system, and finally a brief introduction to the system flow of the scattered signal processing.2.According to the working principle of passive detection of scattered signal processing system, the principle of direct signals interference generation and the effect of strong direct signals interference on system performance are introduced. The basic principle of the ECA-B processing algorithm based on the least squares algorithm is introduced, and the batch version algorithm can meet the real-time processing requirements of the system through parallel processing. Finally, the effectiveness of the ECA-B algorithm under the specific scenario is verified.3.Because the limitations of STAP technology, this paper adopts a parametric adaptive clutter suppression algorithm based on AR model, and then introduced the clutter AR model theory and the parameter estimation methods. Then the basicstructure and working principle of the parametric matched filter are introduced, and the performance of the clutter suppression algorithm is analyzed according to the specific working scenario of the system.4.The performance of adaptive matched filter degraded because of insufficient training data in the heterogeneous clutter environment. Therefore in this paper, the prior information such as motion parameters and working parameters of the radar platforms is used to reconstruct the clutter, and the real clutter covariance matrix can be well simulated.Subsequent adaptive algorithms based on this can also be obtained. The good performance proves the superiority of this methods when the training data is insufficient and the real-time requirement of the system is high.
