Nowadays,with the deepening of urbanization,large-scale and complex indoor places have gradually become main places for people ' s daily life,works and entertainments.The mobility and uncertainty of indoor activities have led to an increase in the demand for indoor navigation.At the same time,with increasing demand for points of interest from people,such as looking for a specific restaurant or a certain commodity in a large shopping mall,obtaining coupons from a nearby merchant,finding one certain business office in a complex office building quickly,reserving service number on the way,understanding exhibition information more effectively in large-scale exhibitions,and finding and viewing different booths in exhibitions,etc.It can be seen that diversified information services based on indoor location,with a vast market demand and huge market potential,can provide people with a lot of convenience.This Thesis aims at the above requirements and takes the differences of indoor and outdoor environments into account;the outdoor navigation systems are compared and the related technologies of indoor navigation are studies.Among them,the indoor map expression technology and indoor path planning technology are mainly studied.Finally,an indoor navigation system is designed and the system is verified.The main works of this Thesis are as follow:(1)Research and implementation of the modeling and drawing of indoor maps and the complete flow of online expressions are completed.The concept of“classification and sorting” is proposed for the selection of indoor map elements.Besides,tile map technology is adopted to help the system achieve faster network response;(2)With the premise of the limitation of the traditional path planning method and the characteristics of indoor scene,the concept of " Grid Cells for Navigation " is introduced to model the road network of indoor space.In actual operation,Delaunay triangulation is used to realize the whole process research and implementation of the indoor road network modeling from two-dimensional space to three-dimensional space;(3)The utility of three-dimensional indoor road network model and design attribute data for indoor path planning fits cross-floor navigation,indoor and outdoor joint navigation and other scenarios.At the same time,the system is compared with thetraditional path planning methods.The result verifies that the path network modeling proposed in this Thesis is more accurate,more natural,and more conducive to the maintenance of data.In addition,the hierarchical display of multi-layer map structures is studied to help achieve efficient navigation.(4)Detailed requirements and architecture design of the indoor navigation system are analyzed;an online WebGIS system is realized to verify the feasibility of the system and the above technologies,and usecases are designed to conduct functional testing of the system.The test results show that the system can successfully complete the positioning of the two-dimensional code,map rendering,path navigation,and information query functions,etc.Desired design goals are achieved.
