The Continuous Intention Of Wechat Movement

Great economic success have been made in China,and the people's living standards have been greatly improved since the reform and opening to the outside world.However,the people are facing more and more severe health problems due to the serious environmental pollution and the accelerated pace of life and work pressure.Therefore,physical activity is a good choice to keep the people healthy.Tencent recently launched a WeChat public platform,WeChat sport,a fitness tracking application on smartphones.The use of WeChat sport can stimulate the user's intention to exercise and increase the amount of physical activity.In this study,we focus on the continuous intention of the WeChat sports application.Based on the expectation confirmation theory and the social comparison theory,this paper proposes a research model of WeChat users' willingness of continuous use.The amount of exercise are hypothesized to have a positive effect on expectation confirmation,the frequency of exercise are hypothesized to have a positive effect on expectation confirmation,and expectation confirmation are hypothesized to have a positive impact on the continued use of WeChat sports.In addition,upward comparison are hypothesized to have a negative moderating effect on the relationship of expectation confirmation and the continuous use intention.A survey was conducted to collect the data,and SmartPLS was used to analyze the data.The results indicate that both the exercise ranking and the exercise frequency ranking have significant positive influence on the expectation confirmation.And the expectation confirmation has a significant positive impact on the continuous use intention of WeChat sport.The higher the possibility that users of perceived expectation confirmation,the higher possibility of users' continuous intention.Upward comparison has a significant negative moderating effect on the relationship between expectation confirmation and continuous use intention.Finally,the thesis discusses the practical implications of this research.
