As anti-detecting technology develops,the camouflage ability of targets in complex environment background keeps increasing,so it becomes more difficult for targets to be detected.Traditional infrared detecting technology relies on temperature difference between targets and environment,and it is sensitive to temperature changes,so its detecting effect is strongly restrained to surrounding environment conditions.In recent years,polarization detection technology has attracted increasing attention,because polarization information can effectively distinguish different targets with different materials and surfaces,and it holds high recognition stability and reliability in complex environment conditions,which is better than light strength,spectra and phase.Polarization simulation technology is an significant way to improve the performance of polarization detection technology platform,and is a key to polarization detection imaging application.In the paper,numerical simulation for polarization bidirectional reflectance distribution function on hemisphere airspace of typical materials is analyzed using Matlab,and according to PG model numerical simulation and polarization image gray level distribution curve,it can be concluded that strength and degree of polarization are different in different azimuth and zenith angles,polarization imaging method based on PG model can effectively distinguish different materials and targets.Aiming at the characteristics of polarization imaging simulation of real space targets under different atmospheric irradiation environments,an optimization simulation method of hemispherical airspace light distribution based on quadtree is designed and implemented.The atmospheric polarized light distribution model of the hemispherical space is optimized to improve the efficiency of the polarization imaging simulation of the targets.PG model needs material physical property parameters to compute polarization state of scattering light in hemisphere space.To get PG model parameters of material under 400nm-760 nm wavelength irradiance light,the Newton interpolation on material physical parameters of five wavelength is conducted.To fulfill space target detection requirement,polarization scenario target detection imaging simulation software based on Visual Studio 2013(C/C++,MFC)development platform,OpenGL graphics rendering library and OpenCV image processing library is designed and developed.The software demands,design model and simulation results are given using UML from the viewpoint of software methodology.The detection technical means by using target scattering light polarization information,can effectively improve the accuracy of target detection and recognition.The above theoretical research results and engineering achievements provide theoretical and engineering application values to the development of polarization imaging technology,and it has great reference and practice value on military target detection and camouflage,computer vision and polarization remote sensing applications.
