From the view of the current situation,there are a lot of enterprises,universities and other office which have their own cable network,but the cable network has limitation,for example,due to the cable constraints,users cannot utilize the network source whenever and wherever.The campus wireless network,through wireless LAN(Wireless Local Area Network,referred to as WLAN)technology,the establishment of seamless wireless communication network,which can make people can whenever and wherever possible in a LAN environment,forming a covering the entire campus lan.Based on the research of campus network composition,design ideas and WIFI technologies,combined with work practice,through field investigation,market analysis,plan design,and implementation,the WIFI construction of Jiangxi engineering school campus was completed.Making full use of the original wired backbone network of the school,the campus wireless WIFI network was built to minimize redundant construction and cut the cost.Combined with wired network,the entire campus was covered by the campus network cover.Adopting the advanced and stable 802.11 ac equipment on the market,225 AP points are housed in student dormitories,classrooms,training sites,reading rooms,etc.The WIFI system theoretically supports 12700 users to log in simultaneously,and reality reach to 5000 users.It fully meets the 5 year development plan of the Jiangxi engineering school.Through the research and practice,the outdoor wireless campus WIFI network was built for Jiangxi engineering school,and cover the dormitory area,teaching area,training area,and reading room.The WIFI campus system is manageable,operational,and high security,thus the campus IT environment was improved.
