Rapid prototyping technology is developed at the end of the last century,an advanced manufacturing technology,the technology has been gradually improved and mature,in all aspects of the application is extremely wide.FDM is one of the rapid prototyping technologies,which makes the FDM technology popularize the market rapidly because of its low operating cost,high manufacturing precision,portable equipment and environmental protection.At present,FDM technology only prints a single product color and it is difficult to replace the different colors of wire,such as virtual characters,jewelry,handicrafts,and many print design products,requiring simultaneous printing of multiple colors.FDM-based color 3D printer developed to solve the simple problem of ordinary 3D print color.Based on the mechanical structure of ordinary FDM 3D printer,we designed the mechanical general mechanism of color 3D printer based on FDM technology,which includeing: the X-axis of color printer adopts double bar form,and a fixed pole Device,the use of two-axis motor drive X-axis movement in the Y-axis as a whole;with the common X,Y-axis fixed on the frame,relying on the printing platform along the Z-axis movement in different ways,the project X,Y-axis independent of an XOY plane Mechanism to move it along the Z axis.Moreover,increasing the silo library and designing to store the various colors of the whole nozzle device were also included.Besides,we increased the corresponding action of the motion control,such as: how to automatically identify when printing a variety of colors;How to get the required wire in the magazine when replacing the printhead;How to quickly locate the beginning of the print point.In order to ensure the safety and stability of the key components,we used the finite element analysis software to analyze the strength of the key parts of the synchronous wheel seat and the double bar mechanism.Besisdes,we calculated the minimum diameter of screw rod and checked the strength.The selection of other standard parts was includeing:synchronous belt,linear guide,coupling,etc.In this paper,the first prototype has been completed and debugged.
