With the development of social economy as well as science and technology,it is indispensable that fire is threatened to the mankind.Generally,organizations like institutions,enterprises,schools,etc.,have their own computer rooms,which are responsible for the information transmission and storage.Consequently,huge losses will be paid once fire occurs in the computer rooms,which is mainly caused by the overloading devices or short circuit.And smog will spit out and temperature will rise in the early stage of fire.The traditional fire alarm system adopts buzzer alarm and the warning range is within 200 meters,so the operator on duty couldn't receive the warning signal when he is out of the range.Focused on the defects above,the paper designs a remote fire alarm system for the computer room based on GSM network,which can remote monitor through GSM network.When fire break out in the room the message,warning signal created by the system,will be sent to the operator on duty.Hence,it is easy for them to obtain the warning information wherever they can.Besides,the supply circuit for the room can be automatically cut off through the system.The system is principally divided into two parts:hardware designing and software designing.On one hand,the first one mainly includes the MCU control module circuit,sensor information acquisition module,GSM communication module circuit,a relay control circuit module,sound and light alarm module circuit,reset circuit,clock circuit.On the other hand,the latter one covers the short message introduction of the GSM communication system,introduction of software development environment,design of the programming,etc.And under the development environment-Keil ?Vision4,C is used for programming and realizing the corresponding function.The paper employs the method of modular design,so the system is mainly composed by 7 modules,MCU control module,sensor data acquisition module,GSM communication module,a relay control module,sound and light alarm module and power supply module.First of all,the paper uses STM32F103R8T6 micro controller,which commands all of the system,including data collection,transmission and other module's control.Consequently,it is the core of the system.Secondly,sensor data acquisition module contains temperature sensing detector and smoke sensing detector.For the first one,we choose DS18B20 which is applied to acquire the temperature in the room.The other one we choosing is MQ-2,that is to get smoke density in the room.Additionally,SIM900 is selected for the GSM communication module to send text message in real time to the duty people about the warning information.Last but not least,it is a relay control module that commands power supply in the room,which can cut off the room's circuit automatically when the fire occurs.The results turn out that a remote fire alarm system for the computer room based on the GSM mobile communicating business,has simpler structure,lower cost,larger warning range,higher reliability,stronger practicability and etc.,than the traditional one.And with the increasing development of communication technology,GSM network will be better and better,and thus promising prospects and application will follow.
