Electronic countermeasure technology is regarded as a magic weapon in modern warfare,and the key component is the microwave power module(MPM).In the strategic aircraft-fighters and bombers in its importance is self-evident,while in modern phased array radar it also plays a decisive role.As the power chip and substrate materials,production technology and other limitations,in the noise figure,the average power,bandwidth and other parameters have a lot of exploration space,combined with the use of equipment platforms and module work environment and other customization conditions are not the same for the microwave power module The research still has the value and significance of engineering.The main cores of the three components are as follows:1.Efficient miniaturized wave tube amplifier: Efficient miniaturized traveling wave tube amplifier is the last final output of MPM,it exists in order to allow the corresponding band of the traveling wave tube to reach the predetermined output index.2.Solid-state drive unit: it is the system's brain,will directly affect the overall performance of the system.The power output by the MPM front stage drive unit is to give energy to its later stage wave tube.At the same time due to the traveling wave tube in the frequency range of the output of the inconsistency,so the front drive unit also needs to have the role of amplitude balance.3.Power regulator.Therefore,we in engineering practice,in the structure and materials,the MPM pre-drive small technology research is of great significance.In this paper,the principle and structure of MPM are analyzed in detail,and the miniaturization technology of wideband front stage driver is studied.At the same time,according to the needs of engineering practice,under the condition of double tutorial system,we designed and manufactured the MPM driver of 4-18 GHz band to meet the output power of Engineering Index +25dBm.At the same time,we learn the design principle of equalizer so that the finished product meets the same power output conditions under the different input power conditions,the equilibrium amount is 9dB.The size of the equalizer is 6.0MM×8.4MM,and the module is miniaturized.The method of independent post equalizer is adopted,and heat isolation is carried out well.The result meets the project target by the result of the design and processing.
