Accompanied by the rapid development of fiber docking,adaptive optics and other modern precision industries,the research of precision motion platform has become the key support for further research in these field.A variety of new type actuators have been invented to meet different driving requirement of precision motion platforms.As one kind of the new type actuators,the stepping piezoelectric actuator has many advantages,such as large stroke,high resolution,simple structure,fast response,stable operation and no electromagnetic interference.Therefore,the establishment of a linear motion system centered on stepping piezoelectric actuator is of great significance to the research on this kind of actuator and its practical application in motion platform.Firstly,the basic configuration of a double-feet stepping piezoelectric actuator is proposed in this paper,and the actuating principle is analyzed.The sequence of actuating elements is programmed according to the actuating principle,and two structural schemes of actuator are designed.In order to analyze the structure of the actuator,an equivalent model of clamp force is established,and the calculation formula of clamping force is derived.The structure of actuator is analyzed by finite element simulation software ANSYS,and the structural scheme and specific structural parameters of actuator are determined.These analyses provide the theoretical basis for the design of double-feet stepping piezoelectric driver.Aiming at the actual actuating demand of the double-feet stepping piezoelectric actuator.This paper develops the corresponding drive power supply and motion control system,which are used to drive the actuator and control the motion state of the actuator.The driving power supply is composed of positive-negative DC power supply circuit and linear amplifying circuit.It has four output driving channels with adjustable voltage,frequency and phase difference,and the output is controlled by the input control signal.The drive power test results show that the output voltage is within ±200 V,and has good linearity and drive capability.The motion control system is developed by using the Simulink Real-Time toolkit of Matlab.It can output four channel control signals,and has displacement detection function.So it can realize the real-time control of the actuator's movement.Finally,this paper has completed the construction of linear motion system driven by stepping piezoelectric actuator.The system is mainly composed ofdouble-feet stepping piezoelectric actuator,drive power supply and motion control system.The mechanical output characteristics of the double-feet stepping piezoelectric actuator and the motion characteristics of the linear motion system are tested.The correctness of the equivalent model is verified by experiments,and the experimental results provide data support for the design of motion control program.Experimental results show that the maximum driving force of the actuator is 13.2 N,and the maximum average speed is 47.6 ?m/s.By measuring and collecting the position information,the motion control system can realize the positioning control of the linear motion system by changing the step distance,and the accuracy is ±1 ?m under stepping mode.
