Direction-finding capability is an important indicator of the performance of electronic reconnaissance systems.With the miniaturization and high efficiency of the ultra-wideband(UWB)dual polarized antenna as the front direction of the array element can effectively improve the system's direction performance.The dielectric resonator antenna has the characteristics of low loss,high efficiency and small volume,so it is widely used in the front end of the electronic reconnaissance system to improve the concealment and accuracy of the DOA estimation system.In this paper,the ultra-wideband DRA,dual-polarized DRA and the DOA estimation on dual-polarized array is studied.The main contents of this paper are summarized as follows:Firstly,the ultra-wideband dielectric resonator antenna working in S band and C band is designed.The dielectric resonator antenna,which feed mode is A and B differential feeds,respectively,uses the addition of the air gap and the differential feed method to extend its bandwidth.Simulation result shows that the relative bandwidth with the port voltage standing wave ratio less than 2 reaches 102%.The DRA fed by a CPW uses a hybrid structure of a printed monopole antenna and a dielectric resonator with a hole in the dielectric resonator to expand the bandwidth,Simulation result illustrates that the relative bandwidth with the port voltage standing wave ratio less than 2 reaches 121%.Compared to the printed patch antenna,the size of the former area is reduced by 67.2%,and the size of the area of the latter is reduced by 36%.Secondly,the dual-polarized DRA working in C band is designed.A coaxial feed dual-polarized dielectric resonator antenna with a trapezoidal gradient structure places two antenna elements of the same structure orthogonally to produce two orthogonal polarized waves.Simulation result shows that the relative bandwidth with the port voltage standing wave ratio less than 2 reaches 10%.A DRA with differential feeding in order to further increase the bandwidth,which generates two orthogonal polarized waves by orthogonal differential feeding the same structure.Simulation result illustrates that the relative bandwidth with the port voltage standing wave ratio less than 2 reaches 31.6%.Compared with the existing dual-polarized DRA,the former antenna size reduced by 3~16 times,the latter impedance bandwidth increased by 2~3 times.Thirdly,Established the received signal model based on different dual-polarized array elements,two kinds of DOA and polarization parameters combined estimation algorithm are introduced.The former is MUSIC algorithm which based on the noise subspace,while the latter is direction of arrival matrix algorithm by constructing the DOA matrix,and a brief analysis of the affection that generated by signal to noise rate(SNR)and snapshots via the simulation results under different conditions.Based on the above estimation model,two algorithms based on the some dual-polarized array are compared together through the following respects: SNR,snapshots and computational complexity.The receiver data model of the dual-polarized antenna array based on the electromagnetic simulation results is constructed by using the polarized array of DRA.The combined estimation of DOA and polarization parameters is realized by MUSIC algorithm.
