In recent years, underwater wireless sensor networks have been widely used in ocean data collection, pollution monitoring, disaster prevention and maritime rescue. However, because of the characteristics of underwater environment, the communication distance is very short, the power resources are limited, and the development of underwater wireless sensor network is severely restricted. The technology of cooperative communication which used to the underwater wireless sensor network can not only expand the communication range, but also alleviate the current situation of power shortage.Game theory is an effective method to solve the problem of power allocation between nodes in cooperative communication network. At the same time, the power allocation algorithm based on the residual energy of nodes is proposed to balance the energy consumption of the sensor nodes, prolong the network survival time and improve the network communication performance.Firstly, the underwater wireless sensor network is introduced, the limited power resources and energy consumption of the network is also analyzed, and the cooperative communication principle and the relay transmission protocol is expounded. What's more, the basic concepts and classification of game theory is described, and the Stackelberg game mathematical model is given.Secondly, the problem of power constrained and centralized algorithm difficultly realized are studied in underwater wireless sensor cooperative communication network. The trading model between the source node and relay nodes was built as a two-tier Stackelberg game. The user node and the relay node are defined as the two sides of the power allocation respectively,in which adjust the number and price of power between nodes reasonably. And the Stackelberg game equilibrium is proved theoretically. Finally, the energy consumption of the underwater sensor cooperative communication network is studied.According to the different of the residual energy of the node and the different of the power cost, the Stackelberg game power allocation algorithm based on the residual energy of the node is proposed. So that the relay nodes with less residual provide less transmission power, while the other is to provide more power to service, which can balance the energy consumption between nodes. The simulation results also show that the algorithm can not only balance the energy consumption between the relay nodes and prolong the surviving time of the underwater sensor cooperative communication network, but also improve the total channel capacity of the system.
