As one of the most common applications of radar system simulation,simulation of radar echo can calibrate and test the independent signal processing system without a complete radar system,through which we can reduce development costs and shorten the development cycle.Therefore,simulation of radar echo which can provide theoretical basis for the design,analysis and effectiveness evaluation of modern radar systems has very important significance.This paper is focused on reconstruction algorithm of time-domain radar echo based on frequency-domain data(frequency-domain RCS sequence).Program implementation plan for the algorithm is designed,and eventually the algorithm program is integrated into an electromagnetic solver.After the research on the reconstruction algorithm of radar echo,a software called SceneWorker is designed and developed.SceneWorker can establish simulation task of radar echo by visual editing of three-dimensional scene,and participate in the composition of the virtual radar echo simulation platform(VRES)with the electromagnetic solver mentioned before.In the section of algorithm research,the disadvantages of time-domain reconstruction algorithm in generality and storage space consumption is analyzed,therefore reconstruction algorithm of time-domain radar echo based on frequency-domain data is introduced,which can overcome the two shortcomings in time-domaim reconstruction algorithm.Then,the algorithm principle is derived based on the theory of linear radar targets.Implementation plans of four key technologies involved in the algorithm including time-frequency transform of signal,generation of frequency-domain transmitting wave sequence,generation of frequency-domain RCS sequence and sequence interpolation are designed,and the implementation plan of the entire algorithm is designed.Then,verification method for the algorithm based on one-dimensional range profile is obtained through the analysis on the corresponding relationship of time-domain echo,one-dimensional range profile and target structure.Finally,simulation of linear frequency modulated wave,Bi-phase coded wave and stepped-frequency wave is carried on based on target model that consists of five different metal balls,and the correctness and generality of the algorithm is verified through the analysis of the corresponding relationship between peak values of one-dimensional range profile and strong scatters of the target.In the section of software development,the design of Scene Worker is specifically elaborated,the design and implementation specifically described.SceneWorker provides visual editing features for three-dimensional scene,can establish electromagnetic simulation task according to the edited three-dimensional scene,and can call the electromagnetic solver to generate time-domain echo data by running the task.All designs,development and testing work of SceneWorker are finished,and SceneWorker has been put into use.
