At present,the satellite communications developed rapidly,the existing frequency resources of C,Ku-band is already very crowded,and the available bandwidth for the new broadband interactive services is so narrow that it is urgent to expand new frequency band.The available bandwith of Ka-band is 3.5GHz.which provides a new way for broadband satellite communications.Ka-band satellite earth station in this paper is the first one in our country,and it has a lot of leading technologies.This system characteristics of stability and high tracking accuracy?At first,the paper summarizes principle,composition and specifications of this antenna and servo system.After that,we has a design to the three main parts of Ka-band antenna and servo system: Antenna & feed source part,Structure part and Servo &control part,and we get the solution of each part.The paper estimate the main technical indicators for this antenna and servo system.All of the results meet the technical requirement.When the project is finished,the system are tested by the acceptance staffs,the result turns out that the system not only can fully meet the needs of users,but also can provide a good service for the satellite ground station.
