With the popularity of the Internet and the development of the network terminal equipment, most of the personal computers are equipped with wired and wireless two network interface, recently the popularity of mobile devices and the reducing of the cost of access devices also makes the network operators can provide the user with GPRS,WLAN,WiMAX and 3g and 4g wireless communications.Multiple network interfaces enable users to access the Internet anytime and anywhere,in order to make the network resources can be fully used,in order to enable data to be transmitted from multiple paths to become a hot research topic. This article through the research of the existing multipath transmission technology, designed a multipath transmission Protocol based on IP tunnel called MPTP(Multi-Path Transfer Protocol),use of the agreement of multipath concurrent transmission function,to achieve data transmission efficiency, improve overall network bandwidth utilization and integration of each path bandwidth, the purpose of the paper's main work is as follows:Firstly, this article puts forward the multipath transmission protocol design goal. Then analyze the relations between the one-way delay and path condition, based on the tendency of the sequences of the one-way delay and jitter amplitude calculation, this paper proposes a path weight calculation method based on one-way delay sequence changes, design the multipath routing algorithm based on path weight. Then this article uses the IP tunnel encapsulation for forwarding message encapsulation way, through a one-way delay is added in the encapsulated packet information fields to end the state of the circular path of change,to end with this information as a basis for the routing. This article through the heartbeat message format and the design of interactive process realized the function of detecting path availability, also by setting the receive buffer way to solve the multipath transmission message out-of-order negative effects on the transmission efficiency, and analyze the caching mechanism. Finally the article using NS-2 simulation software to test protocol performance, and through the analysis of test results, proof the protocol effectively integrate the path bandwidth and enhance the utilization ratio of the whole network bandwidth,at last through the test of receive buffers prove the validity of the receive buffer to solve the problem of random sequence.
