Beijing Unicom Broadband Access Network Realization Of IPTV Business

IPTV,as an important application of tri-networks convergence,has become the UNICOM BJ's most favorable business once again,since the integration of telecommunications networks,cable TV networks and the Internet was regarded as a state strategy.Considering the charateristics of IPTV and the field variation of BJ broadband access networks,the author has put the method which carries video broadcast services by multicasting and VOD service by unicasting.All these sevices are carried on DSLAM and PON equipments.Also,the current deficiency of UNICOM BJ broadband access networks,include lack of redundancy protection and a very large scale layer 2 broadcast domain,leads to potential risks like equipment failure and network attacking.The author also discusses and analyses all these risk points in depth,with pratical solutions being advised.The progressing of tri-networks convergence enables the play of bandwidth-demanding services,which is driving the architecture revolution of UNICOM BJ broadband access networks.The PON(Passive Optical Network)devices will be directly connected to the service routers in the future,replacing the traditional access-distribution hierachical network structure;the author concludes this after careful estimation in network traffic model from 2012 to 2013.High capacity on simplified infrastrucuture represents the trend of SP broadband access network development.
