The Interdiscipline Study Of Information Science And Computer Science

Interdisciplinary research is one of the hotspots of the current scientific fields.By studying the interdisciplinary activity,on the one hand allows us to understand the research status of crossover between the two disciplines and find out the current hot topics.On the other hand,we can predict the potential hotspots of crossover study,indicating a new research direction for the two disciplines,and further enrich the field of interdiscplinary research.In addition,we can also find out core institutions and core authors of the interdisciplinary research field of two discplines.Promoting cooperation among the institutions or authors will be conducive to promoting the development of science and technology and better solve social problems.In this paper,the author takes information science and computer science for example to study the interdisciplinary research status of the two disciplines.The full text mainly does the following three tasks.First of all,based on vector space model methods,we find out the cross-disciplinary research literature from core journals of two disciplines.Secondly,extracting keywords of interdisciplinary literature and constructing timing keywords,the author get to know the change trend of timing hot topics by analyzing high-frequency words.Current research topics are divided into the core,the emerging and the recession and stabilize four cross-cutting themes with different change trends.Through the study of low frequency words,this paper predicts that the potential hotspots are focused on new technology and methods,Web2.0,knowledge-related research,user behavior,further research of information retrieval as well as policies and regulations.Again,by means of social network analysis,the author constructs intuitions-keywords and authors-keywords 2-mode networks to find out the potential cooperating partners.Through conducting qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis such as centrality analysis and core periphery analysis,the paper identifies seven core themes,eleven core institutions and seventy core authors of interdiscplinary research fields ofthe two disciplines.The innovation of this paper is manifested in two aspects.First,in the analysis of the current research focus of the two disciplines,this paper abandons the previous research methods which using the high-frequency words to be on behalf of the hot topics,and takes into account the change impact of the time factor.By constructing timing keywords,this paper makes a distinction between cross-over study topics.Second,using centrality analysis and core periphery analysis,the paper makes an innovative quantitative analysis to the 2-mode network.By comparing the numerical size,this paper gets a more accurate and objective results analysis and identifies the core research themes,the core research institutions and core research authors of interdisciplinary research fields of the two disciplines.
