| The media,especially the mainstream media plays an irreplaceable role in the Chinese Socialist Construction,especially in advocating the mainstream culture,cohesion of social consensus.The object of this research paper is the report of CCTV "News Broadcast"program about propagating andmaintaining the socialist core values.It is based on the status of CCTV as amainstream media and the important position of the socialist core values inguiding the mainstream value of the society.The main purpose of the study is to explore the relationship between the mainstream media,the mainstream ideology construction and the realization path of the construction process.The method of news discourse analysis is one of the main methods of studying the ways that media information was read,understood and memorized in the past three decades.It has developed TeunA.VanDijk's news text analysis framework,a relatively perfect analysis method.However,the past news discourse analysis methods are more focused on the text of the paper,and the discourse in "News Broadcast" are more complex,so this article also draws on some concepts of the emerging multi-modal discourse analysis to analysis the related reports of the core values by "News Broadcast" from three aspects,text modal,image modal and sound modality.In December 2013,the General Office of the CPC Central Committee issued the Opinions on Cultivating and Practicing the Socialist Core Values,which clarified that the basic content of the socialist core values is "three advocates" proposed by the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China socialist core values of the.This paper selected 58 reports of the core values by "News Broadcast" in 2014.The reason to choose 2014 as the specific year to analyze is because it is close to the time that the socialist core values was determined.In addition the reason to chose the whole year as a proof is because by this way can it have a all-round,multi-level understanding for the discourse representation of the relevant reports.Before carrying out the specific discourse analysis,the paper make some bedding work firstly.The first step is to sort outthe discourse theory and news discourse theory,focusing on the Vatican Dick'snews analysis framework and multi-modal discourse analysis method.Secondly,itmade a clear understanding of the nature and orientation of the "NewsBroadcast",and summed up the whole discourse style of the program.Finally,try to discuss the relationship between mainstream values and socialistcore values.The text symbol can not only express the tendency in the content of the information,but also can use the combination of the chapter statement to "speak",with two effects that the content of communication and the forms of communication.So the analysis of the text mode is divided into two aspects of content and form.This paper discovers that the values embodied in the report are more concentrated on the individual level such as patriotism,dedication,honesty and friendliness,and the report structure adopts the simple structure of "total-minute" mode.The study of image modality,with some perspectives of visual grammar theory,reveals that the program tend to chose different image types when expressing different contents,and be able to express tie attitude by camera language.In the study of the mode of voice discourse,this paper found that when the "News Broadcast" reports the core values of socialism,will pay great attention to enhancing the effect of communication by the same period.The news headlines also try to use syllable symmetry and peace sense of rhythm.The mainstream media shoulders the socialmedia to guide the construction of social mainstream values of the realmission.In the report,the mainstream media such as "News Broadcast"on the one hand insisted on fulfilled this mission unswervingly;on the otherhand gradually change the condescending way to equality,civilians.In this paper,it seems that this is the result of the needs of the country,theresponsibility of media and the accept way of audience. |
