The main content of this paper is to enhance and detect the edge of the B-Mode ultrasound images and sonar images.In the medical field,doctors rely on observation of B-Mode ultrasound images to determine the patient's condition;In the field of ocean,experts explore the world of the sea by analyzing the sonar images.But in general B-Mode ultrasound images and sonar images always have low resolution and poor quality,but the edge is an important information for the image,if images not be processed,it will seriously affect the expert judgment.Therefore,this paper combined with the characteristics of B-Mode ultrasound images and sonar images,according to the existing edge enhancement and edge detection theory,further explore the method of edge enhancement and edge detection in ultrasound images based on Gabor filter.In order to solve the problem of enhancing the global rather than the object in the image in histogram equalization,this paper divides the histogram into several sub-histograms,and puts forward an algorithm combines middle gray frequency restrict with dynamic histogram equalization;To solve the problem of adding the number of high-frequency gray-scale and compressing the number of low-frequency gray-scale leads images appear unnatural excessive increase phenomenon in histogram equalization,using the method of Adaptive trilateral contrast enhancement(ATCE).In the method of edge sharpening of the image's edge,using the Gabor filter to enhance the edge information of the image.Gabor filter extracts the direction and frequency domain is similar to the human eye system,and accords with the lower limit of the effective continuous time and the effective frequency bandwidth product determined by the Heisenberg's uncertainty principle.But the Gabor filter to obtain the frequency and direction of the finite edge's information and incomplete,This paper uses MGF(modified Gabor filter)that has double peaks to detect the image's edge,the result more clearly and more complete,using high frequency compensation method based on the matrix,the image edge sharpening not only sharpening of the images'edge but also suppressing the noise around the edges.In the method of edge detect,this paper design a method called RNCF(Rectangular Nuclear Gabor Filter,RNGF)that to reduce the phenomenon of excessive error edge information in the result of edge detection based on Gauss kernel function.
