With the continuous development of science and technology,identification and detection technology has become an important topic in the field of machine vision research.The traditional tool management is done by manual operation,the process of manual operation will inevitably be affected by their own and external factors,resulting in lower efficiency.At present,due to the complexity of tool images,the research on tool identification and detection is still improving,and it is not effectively combined with practical application.In this thesis,two aspects of tool identification and surface detection are studied and applied to the practical engineering.The main work is as follows:In order to solve the problem of tool matching recognition,the related principle and methods of image matching is researched to ensure the tool image so that the follow-up tool recognition and detection operation is carried out smoothly.Then,according to the obvious characteristics of the corner features of the tool image,three corner extraction methods are compared,and the corners are extracted based on Harris operator.Finally,the normalized cross correlation algorithm based on Harris corner point is performed to identify the tool,and the RANSAC algorithm is used to eliminate the misplaced point pairs of the tool image.The experimental results show that the proposed method has high matching speed,high matching accuracy and strong applicability.Aiming at the issue of surface damage of tool,two types of tool surface damage is analyzed,then,the four threshold segmentation methods is compared and the histogram threshold segmentation method is adopted to segment the tool image.This method can effectively divide the background information,tool information and damage information by analyzing the crests and troughs of the histogram.Finally,the tool surface breaking degree is calculated based on the number of pixels of each part of the information in the split image.The experimental data show that the histogram threshold segmentation method have the advantage of accurate segmentation,and the calculated tool breakage results are valid.In order to make the tool identification and detection technology better combine with the practical application,the tool recognition and detection system including the tool identification module and the tool surface damage detection module is designed and performed stability test.The experimental results show that the system has good function and stable performance,with certain application value.
