With the development of industrial control,both the requirement and the manufacturers of industrial switch are gradually increasing.At the same time,the requirements of real-time and reliability for industrial switches which in the field of industrial control are getting higher and higher.Therefore,the International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC)provides a set of universal standards aimed at solving all questions on the standardization of electrical and electronic fields.The IEC62439 standard is suitable for high available automation networks where Part 6 IEC62439-6 is Distributed Redundancy Protocol(DRP).Distributed Redundancy Protocol(DRP)is a recovery protocol based on a ring topology,designed to react deterministically on a single failure of an inter-switch link or switch in the network.A DRP network has a ring topology with multiple switch nodes,and each node has equal management role in a DRP ring network.This means `g6 vg that each node observes and controls the ring topology by multicasting a ring test frame and inter-switch link test frame cyclically,and reacts on network faults.DRP Protocol achieves the redundancy of ring network,compared to the traditional Spanning Tree Protocol(STP)and Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol(RSTP),the network recovery time can be reduced by an order of magnitude,which achieve rapid network recovery and meet the requirement of high availability in the industrial communication network.The VxWorks operating system is a real-time operating system from Wind River System company in the United States.The main advantage of this VxWorks operating system is that it can be ported on different system CPU.In particular,the operating system supports a variety of basic network protocols,making the VxWorks operation system has a good performance in the network,and has been widely used in the field of communication.Based on the above background,this paper based on VxWorks operating system presents the implementation scheme of DRP protocol.This paper mainly discusses the working principle of DRP protocol,and implements the method on Vx Works operating system.In addition,through the scientific test method to measure the recovery time of the ring network,and the improve the actual performance,to shorten the ring network self-healing time and reduce the packet loss rate of network packets.Besides,the DRP protocol for its own functional defect which cannot identify the transceiver port of fiber puts forward feasible solutions,also for the follow-up research and work to provide useful reference.All in all,the Distributes Redundancy Protocol has a vast application prospect.If the DRP protocol is effectively applied to the practice project,which can be fully realize high availability in the field of industrial control.
