In recent years,information security incidents happened constantly.The safety of the integrated circuit gains wide attention.Protecting the integrated circuit chip and making it "self-control" and "independent credible" have become the urgent needs of various information systems.As one of the major security risks in integrated circuit,hardware Trojan along with its detecting theory and methods has become a hot research topic in the field of integrated circuit at home and abroad.With the increasing scale of integrated circuit,the area of the hardware Trojan decreases,and thus the influence of Trojan circuit for golden chip is smaller and smaller.Hardware Trojan detection becomes more and more difficult.This paper refered to the hardware Trojan related literature at home and abroad,and come up with the hardware Trojan detection technique based on built-in circuit,which can effectively improve the hardware Trojan detection sensitivity.Through the analysis based on the built-in hardware Trojan detection principle of the circuit,the paper established two kinds of detection schemes.The detection circuit structure was embedded in the design of a circuit,based on the operation of the Trojan circuit introducing additional voltage drop.The other is based on the basic principle of the electromagnetic radiation in the operation of the internal circuit.After the analysis of electromagnetic radiation effect of Trojan circuit,we can judge whether the circuit contains hardware Trojan.In the first test scheme,a self-test circuit structure was designed based on ring oscillator.The golden chip was ISCAS's9234,which had 484996 gates.10 different area ratio of Trojan circuits were designed.The ring oscillator was composed of five cascaded inverters,which had a frequency of 244 MHz.With the area ratio of 0.004%,the self-test circuit structure can effectively detect the Trojan circuit with 0.20% area ratio.In the second test scheme,permutation entropy was proposed in the hardware Trojan electromagnetic detection.By analyzing the difference between golden and Trojan circuit,we can decide whether the circuit contains hardware Trojan.A FPGA electromagnetic detection platform was designed based on SAKURA-G FPGA.Experimental analysis shows when the Trojan circuit area ratio is 0.17%,P value of Trojan circuit and golden circuit was 0.0017,which verified that permutation entropy was an effective means to detect hardware Trojan electromagnetic radiation.
