Assets management is very important for each enterprise and company,there are so many varieties of assets in company,the quantity is big and may also be distributed disrupt.Those problems have brought many difficulties to assets manager.In the process of assets management,it will be easier if assets manager can know the change information of assets and their location.Ultra Wide Band(UWB)technology is developing rapidly with its narrow pulse width,high resolution of time and fast speed of transmission.UWB has been popular used in a large number of applications like indoor location and streaming media transmission.Based on the background,the indoor UWB positioning and navigation system which is in the field of assets management with various functions was designed and implemented,this system solved the problems of rough map and low positioning accuracy in the traditional system of assets management.The main contents are as follows:1.According to the actual application requirements,this thesis completed the system requirements analysis and performance analysis,designed this system from hardware module,driver sofrware,application software and indoor 3D map.This thesis used Altium Designer2012 to complete the hardware design and used the DW1000 which was producted by the company of Decawave as UWB transceiver unit.The software consist of server,client,database and embedded software,developed with Unity3 D,VS2013 and Keil5.2.According to the design of system,this thesis implemented the hardware of UWB node and driver software firstly,then completed the application software from the module of user registers and logins,map's view changes,POI information queries,positioning target and navigational path display,users' rights allocations and message processes.3.This thesis introduced the traditional wireless locating method and discussed the common algorithms for solving nonlinear equations,including Fang method and Chan method which have analytical expression,Taylor series expansion method and GuassianNewton method which are iterative form.This thesis also simulated and analyzed the performance of different algorithms under the condition that the error of ranging is obedient to Gussian distribution.Finally,this thesis determined the positioning method and algorithm according to the result of simulation.4.Through the functional verification of each module,can see the functions and performances of this system are fine.The communication distance between two nodes is 23 m and 26 m under high speed(6.8Mbps)or low speed(110kbps)respectively.In addition to,this system is vivider in the display of map than the traditional assets management system.It will improve the efficiency of assets management,reduce the labor intensity of assets manager and save expenditure for the enterprises by combining UWB positioning technology with the system of assets management.
