The increasing requirements for communication speed and quality of human beings promote the high-speed development of fiber communication.Various PON(passive optical fiber network)and FTTH(fiber to the home)are built more and more widely,making the amount of passive optical devices used in optical fiber networks surge.So the loss parameters of the measurement methods and efficiency of passive optical device become increasingly important.For this paper,the optical passive components of the integrated parameter testing system based on ARM processor is designed to measure the optical fiber communication nodes exist in the passive components of the polarization-related loss and return loss efficiently.This paper mainly starting from the above two kinds of loss parameters,and studied their generating principle and measuring method deeply and based on the existing measurement methods some improvements are put forward.In this paper,the characteristics of polarized light and its theory are introduced firstly,then the research development of polarization controller is summarized,and the fiber-squeezed electric polarization controller is studied;Secondly emphatically analyzes the photoelectric converter and the design of weak signal amplifier circuit,which provide theoretical basis for the preamplifier circuit with high SNR.According to the requirements of the project,in order to improve the modularity and integration degree of the test system,adopt the modular design to the hardware circuit.The system controls the DFB light source,using ARM processor to control the output light polarization,the photoelectric current converted by the photodetector is processed by high SNR amplifier circuit,using the A / D which belongs to ARM chip to acquisition processing signal and converted to the size of the optical power value,then convert the data into two kinds of loss parameter values,finally,the adaptive weighted data fusion algorithm is used for further processing.In order to meet the modular design of the hardware circuit,the upper computer software and the lower computer software are designed for the characteristics of the test system.The upper computer software is mainly used to control the choice of test parameters and real-time display of results;the lower computer to complete the channel switch.Ultimately the experimental platform is built to verify the test system,from the experimental data can know that the requirement of system design can be met.
