For the development process of electromechanical products, there are a large number of knowledge produced in the designing and manufacturing enterprise. According to these precious resources, there is only sporadic knowledge application, and has not been established for products industry knowledge management platform. Lacking of methods of resource organization and reuse seriously influence the efficiency of products development and the ability of products innovation.This paper is supported by “12th Five Years Plan” of national defense basic research projects, and the main research and results were as follows:1. The modeling of designing knowledge unit based on ontology is studied. In the very beginning, this paper analyze feature of knowledge transmission and put forward a new method of knowledge organization based on the dimension of disciplinary domains. It takes the domain ontology as a semantic model and merges ontology together by defining the object properties. Lastly, the process of OWL formatted documents to relational database is researched.2. The extraction of semantic information and document feature is studied. According to semantic information, this thesis proposes multifactor comprehensive weighted algorithm to calculating concepts semantic similarity. On this basis, it also introduces in the semantic increments to calculate the semantic weight of the keywords, consequently extracting the documents feature in a more accurate way.3. The knowledge retrieval method based on knowledge reasoning is studied. This thesis proposed online and offline reasoning for users' input by using function of ontology reasoning, to fulfill the logical consistency test and complete the expansion of the keywords of query.4. The knowledge management system for electromechanical products is developed. This paper put forward to the development method, introduce the environment of software and complete the development of knowledge management system.
