The Design And Implementation Of Hospital Information Management System

After entering the 21 st century, various information technologies in China develop rapidly, and the medical and health system reform develops profoundly. In order to have a long-term and stable development, hospitals not only need to raise health care's quality and service, and it also need to improve the information management level to improve work efficiency and competitiveness. Original management pattern, which mainly relies on human, already cannot adapt to the increasing pressure of business, so it becomes the inevitable trend of hospital to use Hospital Information Management System(HIS) to improve the hospital's management style. The HIS cannot only strengthen the management level, but also improve the work efficiency.On the basis of the characteristics of the hospital information management system and a variety of problems that have appeared. A detailed investigation which is about the hospital's current business situations and operating conditions appears. Then according to the direction of software engineering thought, the system has carried on a detailed demand analysis of the basic functions. The function modules of system are designed and developed one by one and they are fused together, then the hospital management information system is designed and developed. The system uses the unified modeling language(UML) as the description language of the system modeling. With Delphi language as a development language, the system uses the SQL Server 2005 as the backstage database for data storage management.The system is based on Browser/Server(B/S) system architecture.The system has good database operation efficiency and data security. By complementation of the programming of the system, the system has mainly achieved the outpatient management, hospital management, drug administration, equipment management, medical record management and so on, which helps the hospital work fast and conveniently and manage the information more efficiently.After designing system, people tested system, the result of test indicated that the design of system is reasonable and has strong utility, the system meets various needs of users, and the interface is humanized. After putting into use in hospitals, the system gets the user's high praise consistently, and it runs stably, which is convenient for the integrated information management of hospitals. Making the hospital operation simple and efficient, the HIS improves the quality of the service, at the same time makes the hospital information management more scientific and standardized.
