3D printing seems to have become a momentous engineering technology to set off the industrial revolution, which is also a vital branch of the rapid prototyping. With the expanding of 3D printing, higher precision and smaller size of device will be the development direction of 3D printing. So far how to improve precision and speed of 3D printing and improve the model file slicing algorithm of intelligent have become the major research issue. Therefore, the study of the 3D printing s'related control algorithm and adaptive slicing algorithm, not only has the high figure of scientific study but also the outlook of the industry is very external.In the study, the 3D printing of mechanical and electrical control system, including hardware circuit and software are designed. System control chip selects NXP lpc1768 which has high speed data processing and internal integration of the rich resources in order to reduce the difficulty of circuit design, with applying the A4988 as the subdivided driving chip to drive four axis stepper motor. At the same time, the use of digital conversion chip MAX6685 and K type thermocouple is to heat nozzle and keep its target temperature constant. Then using the LCD 12864 is in order to display operating parameters of equipment. In addition, adding a stroke switch, external button, LED lights and buzzer and other auxiliary circuits and components is meet the basic functions and assembly requirements of 3D printing. Finally, assembling and debugging test the ability of device. The results show that the system runs stably. The constant temperature control effect is also good. And the existence of the physical platform can continue to study further.Finally, on the basis of studying on existing slicing algorithm of STL files found that the slicing algorithm is the key part of 3D printing and affects the manufacture precision, surface quality and processing efficiency of products. In order to solve the problems of time-consuming, unclear threshold, memory problem, an improved slicing algorithm is given on the basis of local encryption of STL model, which use the vector and height difference of triangle, and simulated in the MATLAB software platform. The results show that it can improve the printing accuracy with no more calculation. And this algorithm has obvious effect to improve the accuracy and reliability of the print.
