This thesis presents design and implementation of Shanghai Urban Electrical Power Supply Company's engineering project management system, whose goal is to realize a more highly efficient and more complete integrative operation pattern facing the more and more complicated engineering project management requirements.Centralized around the real requirements on Shanghai Urban Electrical Power Supply Company's electrical power transfer engineering project management, the thesis discusses the functional requirements on the information preparation management, engineering operation information management and accomplishment validation information management in details. On this basis it establishes the application software design scheme which uses the client/server architecture consisted with the whole system structure of the company-wide information management platform. Inside the software architecture the major functional units are organized in stacked layers. Each layer is composed of a group of modules each of which works for specific data processing tasks relatively independent of each other. The modules operates in coordination with each other under the schedule by the main program. The whole design is optimized by means of object-oriented techniques. In the aspect of programming, this system is programmed with Java language running on the general windows operating system platform integrated with Oracle database and its storage procedures at the server side.Shanghai Urban Electrical Power Supply Company's electrical power transfer engineering project management system proves its application values in two aspects. In the horizontal aspect its application realizes the global and unified integration for the electrical power transfer engineering project information. In the vertical aspect it realizes the whole lifetime management for each project. As a result this electrical transfer engineering project management system not only reaches its development objectives but also provides the company with comparatively good support to management and decision making through its running procedures.
