The Random Needling Embroidery is founded by Professor Yang Shouyu in the 1930s in ChangZhou.As the combination of Chinese traditional embroidered craft and western oil painting,the Random Needling Embroidery is of very high artistic value.However,due to its complex process of embroidery,the industry of the Random Needling Embroidery has to face a lot of problems such as low productivity,high professional skill requirement,expensive product and small sphere of influence.Being intangible cultural heritage with great artistic value,the Random Needling Embroidery urgently needs researches of simulation and automation to develop its industrialization.This paper analyses the problems of the Random Needling Embroidery in consideration of its industry development status.Use for reference on the non-photorealistic rendering technology,this paper designs and implements the embroidery draft generation method for the Random Needling Embroidery.This paper also analyses and researches on some specific technical work.The content of this paper includes the following aspects:Image Deformation for Random Needling Embroidery Draft Generation.Research and implement an image deformation method based on Moving Least Squares.Users are provided a method to get image deformation on source image by dragging the control point to the position where they want.This method solved the image deformation problem without changing the original image structure.Good results of this method meet the requirement of the simulation.Image Segmentation for Random Needling Embroidery Draft Generation.Research and implement an image segmentation method based on MeanShift.After adjusting the parameters for each stage of the simulation,this paper solved the image segmentation problem for the Random Needling Embroidery draft generating.And this method meet the requirement of image content extraction.Interactive Editing Techniques for Random Needling Embroidery Draft Generation.Design and implement a hierarchical structure to organize the image segmentation result.Then design and implement interactive editing techniques based on this structure.The organization and interactive editing problem of the Random Needling Embroidery image segmentation result has been solved.Good results of the techniques meet the requirement of the interactive editing to image segmentation result.Works in this paper are used in Magic Needle system(software copyright registration number:2013SR101367),and achieved good results in practice.
