Calibration is a precondition of quantitative remote sensing of aperture synthesis microwave radiometer. There is a quantitative relation between the inversion image gray value of aperture synthesis microwave radiometer and the bright temperature received by the antenna array, and calibration can determine the quantitative relation. However, there are some errors in the process of generating imaging by synthetic aperture microwave radiometer, such as truncation error, which determines the inversion image gray value exist error. The error of various pixel of inverse image of synthetic aperture microwave radiometer is not the same, if only use a pixel to calibrate, there is a big error in brightness temperature image which is generate after calibrating. This paper introduces three calibration methods of the synthetic aperture radiometer, presents the corresponding calibration formula and root mean square error expressions of bright temperature image which reflects the effect of calibration. Each calibration methods is used for simulation analysis of uniform scene and non-uniform scene and comparing calibration effect. From the simulation results, we know the root mean square error of average method is small, and the calibration effect is better. We try to use a calibration source for calibration simulation, and the simulation results can prove the feasibility of this calibration simulation method. In this paper, we has carried on the simulation analysis for influence produced by the temperature value of the calibration source and area of calibration source, and drawn some meaningful conclusions.
