As network security incidents continue to occur in recent years, the awareness of network security is gradually being awakened, increasingly strong demand for their own information protection. E-mail is an important tool for the exchange of information and favored by people. Most e-mail clients support encryption and signature services that meet people's demand for information protection in large degree. However, this service is based on PKI system, which requires users to have their own digital certificate and distribute their certificates to others. This operation makes the service process too complicated significantly. A large number of digital certificates for a certificate authority also increase the complexity of management.Identity-Based Encryption(Identity Based Encryption) is a non-symmetric algorithm recently proposed, which using the unique identity information as a public key, this can be a good solution to the key exchange, key distribution and many other issues. Using this technique in the field of e-mail, any user can send an encrypted e-mail to any other user, only need to know the recipient's e-mail address. It does not require complex key exchange and management of digital certificates and other operations, this have a very good improvement of traditional PKI. However, the problem of application is the biggest obstacle that the IBE technology facing, all standard application are not stand IBE algorithm. To research and solve this problem is vital significance for IBE algorithm.Based on the above knowledge and research, this paper use the pseudo-RSA digital certificate technology, in view of some more common for e-mail clients, including Outlook, Outlook Web Access and ThunderBird, research and development of their extended application simplifies digital certificate in the application process complex operations. The outlook extension helps users to achieve transparency and configuration process of the issuance of digital certificates issued by private and public key digital certificates, streamline the operation of user's digital certificate and delivery process, users only need to configure a digital certificate private key to achieve the purpose of sending encrypted email; The OWA extension implement automation process of digital certificates issued by public key certificates and transparent configuration, users can send encrypted e-mail to any user, use the private key to decrypt the e-mail requires a combination of key management client digital certificates issued; ThunderBird extension to achieve transparency and configure the issuance of digital certificates issued by user's private key and public key digital certificates and configuration of the whole process, users do not need any treatment configurations of digital certificates related.The innovation of this paper is that using pseudo-RSA digital certificate technology to develop extensions to help e-mail clients greatly simplifies user's operation in digital certificate management and maintenance in the process of receiving and sending encrypted e-mail. So that some of the complex operations can be transparent to the user and improve the user's habits. This solution also makes IBE technology can quickly compatible with email application, this has a good innovation and practical value.
