Drama is a significant part of literature education in high school, which can immensely enrich students' cognitive level of history and culture, as well as improve students' Chinese accomplishments and aesthetic taste. Therefore, drama is an important place to carry out Chinese teaching,and it's an excellent material for teachers to discuss and explore new teaching methods and methodologies.With the concepts and ideas of the new curriculum system,the emphasis of drama teaching should be placed on the exploration of new teaching modes and the creation of new lesson types, based on the advantages and benefits of conventional teaching modes and lesson types. Besides, teachers should focus on students'progress on their autonomous and dynamic improvement of knowledge, abilities and emotions. In addition,teachers should attempt to build a platform for teacher-student and student-student communication and create opportunities for multi-interpretation between students and the text, which can encourage students' democratic participation and synthetical and practical study. This paper is mainly aimed at the research of drama teaching under the new curriculum system, providing some teaching methods and methodologies for teachers to refer to. The paper consists of the following sections:First, the paper analyzes the current situation of drama literature research and the causes for its decline, thus providing foundation for the argument of the whole paper.Second, using the famous drama Thunderstorm as an example, the paper explores new methods and modes of drama teaching and constructs new drama lessons, which can be adopted by other teachers to apply to their own teaching.Third, from the perspectives of students, teachers and Chinese teaching, the paper analyzes the values, significances and especially aesthetic educational functions of drama literature teaching.
