With the development of the new curriculum reforming,greater requirements are being placed on the abundance of teaching contents,the flexibility of teaching process,the diversity of teaching methods and etc..These requirements have brought unprecedented shock and challenge to teaching practice,and meanwhile,more specific demands on teaching practical wisdom have been put forward.We believe that education is "agriculture" rather than "industry",for students it's "help delivering" rather than "hasten parturition",and above all,it's science as well as art.Therefore it's increasingly required that teachers of rich practical wisdom carry out the true meaning of education,improve and bring vitality to the courses in practice.For the big picture of today's educational development,there is growing demand for superb practical wisdom in nearly every teaching reform.Teachers' practical wisdom is viewed to be the core component of their professional development,the main condition for the acquisition and promotion of their professional autonomy,and also an important part of teachers' individual development.As a result,it is of great necessity to study the cultivation of teachers' practical wisdom.With a long history,Confucianism,as the mainstream of Chinese thoughts,has great inspirational function for the cultivation of teachers' practical wisdom.Among those Confucianist figures,Zhu Xi is a representative and epitomizing one whose education theory is of great value in Chinese traditional educational thoughts.Zhu committed his whole life to culture inheritance and teaching,and for him the basic rule was to teach people to be sages.Zhu's education theory is an essential supplement to modern education which places much emphasis on science and technology.Besides,his theory is of great significance not only for the reestablishment of educational objectives of humanistic education but also for the improvement of contemporary Chinese teachers' practical wisdom.Accordingly,this thesis explores the cultivation of Chinese teachers' practical wisdom based on Zhu's education theory.This thesis firstly introduces the origin of the study on Zhu Xi's education theory and the contemporary Chinese teachers' practical wisdom cultivation.Then the concept of Chinese teachers' practical wisdom and others related are defined.Besides,the research objectives are presented,and studies abroad and home are reviewed.In the second chapter,this thesis analyzes the differences between practical wisdom and educational wisdom of teachers,and then discusses about the key elements of contemporary Chinese teachers' practical wisdom.Chapter Three studies Zhu's education theory and its enlightenment for the enrichment of contemporary Chinese teachers' practical knowledge from the perspectives of “Instructional knowledge ”,“Knowledge of students”,and “Knowledge of self”.Besides,this part presents the strategies of enriching practical knowledge of contemporary Chinese teachers.Chapter Four discusses Zhu's education theory and its enlightenment for the improvement of contemporary Chinese teachers' practical thinking based on integrative thinking,creative thinking and introspective thinking.What's more,the strategies of improving practical thinking of contemporary Chinese teachers are studied.In the fifth chapter,Zhu's education theory and its enlightenment for the cultivation of contemporary Chinese teachers' practical ethics is discussed from the view of contemporary Chinese teachers' ethics on the relationship between teachers and students,and the strategies of cultivating practical ethics of contemporary Chinese teachers are explored in this part.
