Jameson's Postmodern Cultural Criticism Theory Of Reflections On The Current Situation Of Culture In China

Fredric Jameson is a famous theorist of Marxist cultural critics in the United States,whose academic status is vital in the field of Marxism abroad.Using Marx's doctrine of production theory,Jameson analyzed social and culture status of capitalist country,summarized the culture features of postmodernism,criticized on culture status and social contradictions of contemporary Western society,effectively disclosed disadvantages of Western culture and ideology,and played an important role in leading to correct understanding the thought of intellectual class in the contemporary Western society.What's more,Jameson's theory had great impact on China's ideological theory development,mass culture construction social life,and etc.Based on Marxist philosophy,this article is aimed to make a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of Jameson's post-modern criticism cultural theory.The full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter of Jameson's postmodern cultural criticism theory background is analyzed.Article first capitalism stage theory of Mandel,Baudrillard's theory of "illusion" and Hasan's theory of "uncertain introversion" and Sipannuosi's theory of "globalization" has carried on the brief analysis,thought the theory of Jameson's postmodern theory laid a solid theoretical basis.On this basis,the development of science and technology lead to the changes of the capitalist mode of production and the expansion of the "culture industry",the lack of subject consciousness,realism gradually decline,for the emergence and development of Jameson's theory provides the realistic foundation.In the second chapter,the paper has a deep interpretationof Jameson's postmodern cultural criticism theory.This paper analyzes the historical stage division of Jameson,respectively with realism,modernism and postmodernism dominant cultural form of one to one correspondence.Jameson is analyzed on the context of postmodern cultural criticism and cultural characteristics of postmodernism,the article thinks the depth of late capitalism produce no postmodern hyperspace,show the highlight of the mass culture,the main body of society has discretization,fragmentation,culture shows depth mode made low,the disappearance of the historical consciousness,patchwork of imitation,the disappearance of the distance,in the spiritual home completely lost in the postmodern society crisis.Paper in the third chapter of Jameson's postmodern cultural criticism theory is evaluated,on the one hand must Jameson and its theory contribution,on the other hand also points out the theory of the limitation of its own.Thought that Jameson's research and development of the Marxist theory,the historical consciousness and insist on the principle of overall research have important significance,but also has certain limitation,its theory fusion and reference to the various school of thought,a harmonic color,part of the theory is too vague and simple.The fourth chapter based on the above discussion and argument,the paper from the perspective of China's social and cultural life to dig deeper into the theory of Jameson's view of the important reflection on the current situation of the culture to our country.The article thinks that Jameson's theory of cultural criticism sparked discussion of postmodernism,Chinese scholars also underlines the postmodern characterization of Chinese literature concept,to promote the development of contemporary Chinese cultural diversity,promote the fusion of mass culture and elite culture have important influence,for China's social life aspects also has the important enlightenment function,think that the development of China's rural and urban space,urban building aesthetic pursuit,and the popularization and application of consumer culture needs to be combined with the local context,culture development road with Chinese characteristics.
