Li Xinchang as one of the most influential and well-known singers in current China is also one of the first generation vocal artists trained by China's own contemporary conservatories or music schools since the founding of the People's Republic of China.He has taken up singing for more than several decades and has been passionately committed to the legacy,development and innovation of the art of singing.He has the reputation of having a mellow and delicate timbre,adept singing techniques and precise interpretation of vocal works of other countries in terms of either language or performing styles.However,what can impress audience more is his expressive power which can easily draw and move the audience.Thus,he is deeply beloved by his audience.Apart from his popularity among audience,he is also recognized in international music field and won Schumann international competition award in Germany and received meetings with Mao Zedong,Zhou Enlai and Chen Yi and other state leaders.He is invited many times to perform for foreign leaders and guests and make speeches or have lectures abroad.So,this essay will conduct research on Li Xinchang based on scientific principles of sound production and by focusing on the following areas:first,the life of Professor Li including his singing features and his teaching concepts so that a better and in-depth understanding of Professor Li's sentiment and interpretation of singing,music,performance and art will be formed;then,detailed analysis of Professor Li"s teaching concept and methodology though which his innovative and unique perspective can be seen and studied and also the inspiration and progress brought by him;the final part,conclusion of the essay and outlook.
