Research On Plastic Arts In Dianjiang Horncarvings Of Chongqing

Chongqing Dianjiang horn carving is a traditional folk art of China.It's a national folk art combining practical and aesthetic.And it's also rich of national culture heritage.Dianjiang horn carving is worthy of our in-depth research on its unique sharp,abundant themes and exquisite carving techniques.The character of art culture in the plastic art of Dianjiang horn carving is the research value and significance of this paper.Through the interviews with local horn sculptors and studying on related articles,the thesis explores the cause and the development of forms of Dianjiang Horn Carvings.The author firstly introduces major forms and subjects of Dianjiang Horn Carvings,looking into the cause of its formation.Then he discusses on its formative characters and artistic expressions,analyzing the causes behind and its various artistic expression methods.Last,he analyzes the cultural significance and aesthetic values of Dianjiang Horn Carvings,further clarifying the contributing factors for its development and inheritance.By making a deep analysis and study on these elements,this thesis aims to dig up the artistic and economic values of Dianjiang Horn Carvings.
