As a special commodity,drug appears dual properties that it plays life-saving role to cure the sickness accompanied by which could be hazardous to health if it is improperly used.Under the background of health-care reform,licensed pharmacists attract broad attention for their basic function as a medicine service personnel to keep our country’s medication safety.Established late in China,licensed pharmacists system has been carried out for a mere 20 years and consequently Chinese people can hardly sense the existence of licensed pharmacists,and on the other hand licensed pharmacists feel useless.To understand the reasons for this phenomenon,a questionnaire survey in the sample of Tangshan public was proceed to obtains licensed pharmacists awareness.First,the aim and significance of the research about the licensed pharmacist system is discussed in this article.Then,the status of development for licensed pharmacist in china and other countries is analyzed,and some fine comparisons are made base on the analysis results.It could be found clearly that the licensed pharmacist system in America and UK is more complete and mature than ours,and it is worthwhile for us to learn.Afterwards,based on the situation of Tangshan city and our national condition,take common People and medical personnel in 3 sample districts of Tangshan as respondents,a questionnaire survey was carried to obtain the awareness of licensed pharmacist.Draw the conclusion: although the policy of licensed pharmacists offering more pharmaceutical care services for people,the low awareness of residents for licensed pharmacists reduces the effect of the implementation of the policy.Finally,some effect measures are proposed.The details contain: accelerate the legislative process licensed pharmacists;appropriately manage the registering of licensed pharmacists;positively launch publicity and education to the people;strengthen the providing management of licensed pharmacists;strengthen job responsibilities inspection of the licensed pharmacists in order to raise the effectiveness of policy performance;by means of strengthened training of the licensed pharmacists,make them study willingly to improve their own quality.The conclusions and suggestions in this paper could be the common reference for perfect the pharmacist system.The suggestions offered in this paper for the pharmacists’ development and the departments in charge laying down correlative policies might have some reference value.
