The Study On BMI Status Of Yin-deficiency Constitution And Analysis Of The Body Composition Of Yin-deficiency Constitution

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to explore the status between the body mass index(BMI)of the Yin-deficiency and Non-yin-deficiency Constitution,and the difference of Body composition between Yin-deficiency and Balance Constitution.The relationship between the items of the TCM constitution scale and body mass index(BMI)was established,A comparison of body mass index(BMI)of 9 types of TCM constitution,The multi-factor analysis of the influencing factors of Yin-deficiency Constitution,Comparing the differences between Yin-deficiency and Balance Constitution in Body composition.From a multifaceted Perspective,to reveal the correlation of Yin-deficiency Constitution and body mass index(BMI),and the characteristics of the Body composition of Yin-deficiency Constitution.The goal is to demonstrate the scientific basis of TCM theory of "lean more fire".MethodsBMI status of the Yin-deficiency and Non-yin-deficiency ConstitutionCross-sectional survey was used.The randomized sampling was carried on the staff from January 2016-January 2017,which comes from Chinese Medical Hospital of TCM of Ersha physical examination center in line with the inclusion and exclusion standard.The general data of subjects of TCM constitution scale,body mass index(BMI),gender,age and etc were collected.Using EXCEL 2010 to establish database,SPSS17.0 software package was analyzed data.Statistical analysis for the three steps:(1)To building Spearman rank correlation relationship between the 60’s items of TCM constitution scale and Body mass index(BMI),understanded the baseline situation.according to the different gender and age groups,further to establish the rank relationship of items and bodymass index(BMI);(2)the variance analysis was used to compare the body mass index(BMI)of 9 kinds of constitution of TCM;(3)considering the body mass index(BMI)and other factors as independent variables,Yin-deficiency Constitution were dependent variables,and a binary stepwise Logistic regression analysis model was established.analysis of the Body composition of Yin-deficiency ConstitutionCross-sectional investigation was also used.The randomized sampling was carried on the of identification’s result of TCM constitution,Body composition analysis,gender,age and etc were collected.Using EXCEL 2010 to establish database,SPSS17.0 software package was analyzed data.Balance Constitution regarding as a control group,the Body composition of the Yin-deficiency Constitution was studied.Finally,based on all the above statistical results and literature research,the conclusions are obtained.ResultsBMI status of the Yin-deficiency and Non-yin-deficiency ConstitutionA total of 1,032 samples(Including 75 cases of Yin-deficiency Constitution and 957 cases of Non-yin-deficiency Constitution)were included in the study.It was found that there were base condition imbalance between age and gender in body mass index(BMI)groups.(1)From the number of items,the negative Spearman rank correlation,negative rank correlation significant digits,The study found that the sequencing from high to low of eight kinds of biased Constitution was the Yin-deficiency Constitution(8:8:7)>Yang-deficiency Constitution and Blood stasis Constitution(7:7:6)>Qi-deficiency Constitution(8:7:7)>Qi stagnation Constitution(7:7:5)>Inherited Special Constitution(7:6:2)>Damp-heat Constitution(6:4:2)>Phlegm-dampness Constitution(8:4:2)In the constitution of TCM scale 60’s items with a body mass index(BMI)of Spearman rank correlation.Among the 8 group items of Balance Constitution,there were 7 groups showing positive Spearman rank correlation,and all of them had statistical differences.1 group of items showed negative correlation,but there was no statistical difference.according to the gender and age’s stratification,to building the Spearman rank correlation between the body mass index(BMI)and eight items of Yin-deficiency Constitution,the results showed that the vast majority of items with body mass index(BMI)presents a negative Spearman rank correlation.In terms of the number of negative statistical differences(P<0.05),there were significantly more female than male’s group,and the middle-aged groups had more than the youth and elder groups.(2)In the variance analysis of the body mass index(BMI)of 9 kinds of constitution of TCM,the study found that the mean of body mass index(BMI)from low to high was Yindeficiency Constitution<Yang-deficiency Constitution<Blood stasis Constitution<Qi-deficiency Constitution<Qi stagnation Constitution<Balance Constitution<Damp-heat Constitution<Phlegm-dampness Constitution<Inherited Special Consti-tution,and there was no statistical difference of Yin-deficiency Constitution and Blood stasis Constitution.In 9’s constitution of gender ratios,found that the female’s ratios in the Yin-deficiency Constitution,Qi-deficiency Constitution,Qi stagnation Constitution,Blood stasis Constitution and Yang-deficiency Constitution was relatively high,while male’s rat=ios in Balance Constitution,Damp-heat Constitution,Phlegm-dampness Constitution was relatively high.Balance Constitution regarding as a control group,the Yin-deficiency Constitution are mainly distributed normal and underweight groups in body mass index(BMI),The control group were relatively normal distribution,mainly distributed in the normal and the overweight group.(3)In the establishment of unconditioned binary stepwise Logistic regression analysis of Yin-deficiency Constitution,the results from single factor analysis,including age,body mass index(BMI)and 8’s items of Yin-deficiency Constitution was influencing factors.Basing on multi-factor analysis found that the five factors of the body mass index(BMI),Hands heart fever,Body face flushing,Tidal reddening of the cheeks and Constipation are independent risk factors for the occurrence of Yin-deficiency Constitution.analysis of the Body composition of Yin-deficiency ConstitutionA total of 208 samples(Including 62 cases of Yin-deficiency Constitution and 164 cases of Balance Constitution)were included in the study.In Balance Constitution regarding as a control group,and to research the characteristics of the Body composition of Yin-deficiency Constitution,found there was no statistically significant in gender and age’s groups.The 21 groups in the analysis of Body composition were compared.A total of 7 groups presented statistical differences(P<0.05),which mainly involved in adipose tissue and the body water content [i.e.Fat Mass(FM),Weight,Body Mass Index(BMI),Percent Body Fat(PBF),Obesitey Degree(OD),Intracellular Water(ICW),Total Body Water(TBW)].ConclusionBased on the statistical results and literature studies,the study can be concluded that the ancient’s theory of TCM puting forward " lean more fire" has its scientific basis.To synthesized the relationship between the items of Yin-deficiency Constitution and body mass index(BMI),the comparison of9 kinds of constitution of body mass index(BMI)and the binary stepwise Logistic regression analysis of Yin-deficiency Constitution:(1)com-pared with higher body mass index(BMI)of population,on the low side groups are more likely to happen Yin-deficiency Constitution;(2)The four items of Hands heart fever,Body face flushing,Tidal reddening of the cheeks and Const-ipation are the specific items,which contributes more to the formation of Yindeficiency Constitution.(3)Females may be more prone to the Yin-deficiency Constitution.(4)Yin-deficiency Constitution compared with Balance Constitution,the adipose tissue is lower,cells preserve moisture with poor ability,indicated that the risk of the malnutrition,protein hypermetabolism,cell hyperfunction disorders of Yin-deficiency Constitution may be higher.
