Objective:To explore the nutritional status of patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis. To find out whether the nutritional status will be changed after TIPS and whether there are differences between HE group and NHE group. Methods:The study finally met the requirements of the group of 58 patients. The results of BIA analysis before and after the operation of the patients in the study group were collected, and the patients were followed up for days after the operation. The application of paired t test is to check the significantly differences in nutrition before and after TIPS operation.Using independent samples t test to test whether the nutritional status of HE patients and NHE patients there are significant different.Results:(1)22 patients completed the BIA analysis after 1st month of TIPS.Compared with body compositions before TIPS,waist-hip ratio(0.82±0.04 VS 0.85± 0.05,P<0.001)were significantly decreased.(2)20 patients completed the BIA analysis after 3rd month of TIPS.The soft lean mass(43.26±8.79 VS 45.19±8.89Kg,P=0.012),fat free mass(45.98±9.26 VS 47.92± 9.33Kg,P=0.018),protein(8.87 ±1.83 VS 9.23 ±1.88Kg,P=0.016),skeletal muscle mass(24.79±5.55 VS 25.86±5.66Kg,P=0.019),BCM(29.44±6.08 VS 30.59±6.21Kg,P=0.023)were significantly improved compared with preoperative.(3)14 patients finished BIA analysis after 6th month of TIPS.Not only the soft lean mass(P<0.001),fat free mass(P<0.001),protein(P<0.001),skeletal muscle mass(P<0.001),BCM(P<0.001)increased significantly, but also arm circumference(29.05 ± 2.56 VS 30.29 ± 2.24cm,P=0.012),arm muscle circumference(23.91 ±2.27 VS 25.23 ±2.23cm,P<0.001)increased significantly.(4)There were no significant differences between the HE group and NHE group in body compositions.Conclusions:(1)The nutritional status of patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis improved after TIPS.(2)In this research, there was no significant difference in body composition between patients with and without hepatic encephalopathy. |
