| Objective:To investigate the correlation between cerebrovascular disease risk factors(CVDRFs)such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia, hyperhomocysteinemia(Hhcy)and the Mini-mental state examination(MMSE)score of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)patients,And the relationship between MMSE scores in AD patients with different numbers of CVDRFs.Materials and methods:57 cases of elderly patients with normal cognitive function were selected from August 2014 to March 2017 in Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital.Among them,30 males and 27 females had the mean age(77.19 ± 10.18)years old. There were 305 elderly patients with AD,170 males and 135 females with an average age of(79.06 ±9.75)years.There were 32 patients with AD alone and 36 AD patients only with hypertension;40 AD patients only with diabetes;38 AD patients only with hypercholesterolemia;41 AD patients with Hhcy;AD combined with the above two CVDRFs were 47 cases,AD combined with 3 risk factors were 46 cases, combined with 4 kinds of risk factors were 25 cases. All patients were enrolled in the MMSE scale, blood pressure, fasting blood test cholesterol,Hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),hcy and so on.The MMSE scores, systolic blood pressure, cholesterol,HbAlc and hcy levels in the AD group and the control group were compared by two independent samples t test. One factor analysis of variance was used to compare the risk factors of AD and AD with one kind of CVDRFs and MMSE scores of various risk factors.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation among systolic blood pressure,cholesterol,HbA1c and hcy and MMSE scores in AD group. Results:There was no significant difference in age,sex and educational level between AD group and control group(P>0.05).The MMSE scores of AD group was lower than that of the control group, but the systolic blood pressure,cholesterol,HbA1c and hcy were higher than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that the levels of systolic blood pressure, cholesterol,HbAlc and hcy were negatively correlated with MMSE scores in AD patients. The MMSE scores of AD with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia or Hhcy were significantly lower than those of patients with AD alone,And the more CVDRFs associated with AD,the lower MMSE score, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.AD group of patients with systolic blood pressure, cholesterol,HbAlc,hcy levels increased, they are not only risk factors for cerebrovascular disease, but also risk factors of AD.2.The levels of systolic blood pressure, cholesterol,HbAlc and hcy in AD patients were negatively correlated with MMSE scores, that is,the higher the level, the lower the cognitive score and the cognitive impairment in AD patients.3.The cognitive function of AD patients with CVDRFs decreased, and the more risk factors were combined, the cognitive function decreased more.4.For elderly patients with CVDRFs,routine assessment of cognitive function is required to early detection of AD,early treatment. |
