The level of personal health is the basic premise of social and economic development and people’s living and working.It has been widely concerned by scholars of all circles.The problem be caused by the difference of social and economic status has also become an important research field to discuss social stratification and health inequality.The influence of Socio-Economic Status on health has been discussed.Most of the literatures used the logistic regression method to study the direct causal relationship between the two,but rarely discussed the role of the intermediate mechanism.In this paper,we study the direct and indirect effects of socioeconomic status on health by using Logistic regression and structural equation modeling.Based on the data of CFPS2012,this paper combs the related researches of health and health inequality which is caused by economic status in our domestic and foreign countries,we define the relevant core concepts and select the measurement variables of the indicators by combined with the actual residents of China.Secondly,this paper analyzes the relationship of direct influence and indirect mechanism between social economic status and health level,which is based on the relevant theoretical researches: The Logistic regression model is used to analyze the direct relationship between SocioEconomic Status and health level;The structural equation model is used to describe the relationship of Socio-Economic Status,lifestyles and individual health level and analyze lifestyle mechanisms of Socio-Economic Status impacting the health level.We can make following main conclusions:(1)There are obvious direct causal relationship between Socio-Economic Status and health level,personal income and the level of education in three indexes of socioeconomic status have a significant influence on the self-rated health of the individual.(2)Socio-Economic Status can not only directly affect the individual’s health,but also indirectly affect level of health through the lifestyle mechanism;(3)With regard to the Socio-Economic Status affecting health through lifestyle mechanism,the results of study showed that Socio-Economic Status have positive relevant to the lifestyle of individuals,and lifestyle positively affect the health of residents.The higher socio-economic status,the resident inclined to a more healthy lifestyle.Moreover,which shows that Socio-Economic Status have a significant positive impact on individual health status.That is,the data in our country support the lifestyle’s mechanism of Socio-Economic Status causing health inequality.Overall,this study deepens the understanding of the core concepts and indexes(Eg.health inequality and socioeconomic status),and enriches the content of the direct influence relationship and indirect influence mechanism between Socio-Economic Status and level of the health and the.There may be the following contributions:(1)Expanding the framework of researches.Based on the theory of social causality,we study the relationship between Socio-Economic Status and level of health,which extends the framework of research.(2)Putting forward to the targeted recommendations to improve health inequality,and achieve high-quality level of national health.
