ObjectiveTo determine the seroprevalence in the general population in endemic areas of Lu’an,and analyzes the possible risk factors and latent infection rate or severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus infection. Methods From Chinese information system of disease prevention and control, select all report cases of who were living in Lu’an to establish database on September 1st to December 31st,2014.Twelve villages with the highest rates of endemic SFTS infection were selected from six towns in two counties of Lu’an by report the incidence of sort. Then, blood samples were collected and tested for the presence of SFTSV-IgG antibodies by ELISA,and each participant was interviewed using a structured questionnaire before blood collection in order to investigate latent infection rate.Participants with seropositive specimens were further investigated using another structured questionnaire.Application of binary classification Logistic regression model to analyze its possible risk factors for SFTSV infection. Results Of 2,126 blood specimens collected,99(4.66%)were seropositive for SFTSV.None of the participants had been diagnosed with SFTS before the blood collection or were accompanied by fever, thrombocytopenia and leukocytopenia after blood collection.seropositive differences between different gender and different age groups had no statistical significance, different administrative villages(chi-square=54.275,P(27)0.001)and different professional(Fisher’s exact test value of 15.207,P=0.012)between the seropositive difference was statistically significant.Logistic regression model of second classification analysis found that living in areas of uncontrolled vegetation growth(OR:3.146,95%CI:1.410 7.019)and tick bites(OR:2.544,95%CI:1.542 4.197)is a fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus infection risk factors, and not long-term residents of the locality l(OR:0.384,95%CI:0.164 0.899)is the protection factors. Conclusion The overall seroprevalence of SFTSV is higher in endemic areas of Lu’an.Infection of the disease spectrum may give priority to with the latent infection, get ill may be due to age and body condition. The main risk factors being living in areas of uncontrolled vegetation growth,long-term residents of the locality and tick bites.Further investigations are warranted to clarify the modes of SFTS virus transmission, while cases management, education on tick bite prevention and personal hygiene management to reduce the opportunity by tick bite should be implemented for high risk groups in endemic areas.
