ObjectiveAnalysis on the difference of expression of IL-36 in colonic cancer and paracancerous tissues,and to explore the clinical features and expression of IL-36α related colon cancerMethodsImmunohistochemistry and RT-qPCR was performed to investigate the expression of IL-36α and IL-36αmRNA in 36 cases of colon cancer tissue and paracancerous tissues.Preliminary disscuss on the relationship between expression level of IL-36α m RNA in patients with colon cancer and clinical pathological features.Results1.Test results by Immunohistochemistry method showed that positive expression rate of paracancerous colon tissues was significantly higher than that of colon cancer tissue,75.0% and 41.7%,respectively,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The results of RT-qPCR showed that the expression of IL-36α mRNA was higher than that of colon carcinoma in the paracancerous colon tissues,respectively,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.In the colon tissue IL-36α mRNA’s expression level had no relationship with gender,age,tumor diameter,case classification(including differentiation).Lymph node metastasis was correlated with the expression of IL-36α mRNA.The lymph node metastasis rate is higher than that without lymph node metastasis.TNM staging was correlated with the expression of IL-36α mRNA,the earlier the TNM stage,the higher the expression of IL-36α mRNA,respectively,the difference was significant(P < 0.05).ConclusionIL-36α present was high expression in paracancerous colon tissues;low expression in colon cancer tissue which prompt its contribution to the process in colon cancer.The expression level of IL-36α was correlated with the Lymph node metastasis and stage ofTNM,and was not correlated with gender,age,tumor diameter and tumor differentiation.IL-36α’s expression level with the lymph node metastasis rate is higher than that without lymph node metastasis.TNM staging was correlated with the expression of IL-36α,the earlier the TNM stage,the higher the expression of IL-36α.
