Objective:To investigate and analyze the level of core competency of community nurses and the status and needs of community nurses training in Chongqing,to find the existing problems of palliative care service,and then construct the training course index system based on competence for community nurses.so as to ensure the quality of the community nurses training.Method:1.Research on the core competence of community nurses in Chongqing:378 registered nurses from 18 community health service centers of the main urban region in Chongqing were investigated with general information questionnaire and community nurses core competence questionnaire;2.Research on the status and needs of community nurses training in Chongqing:By focus group interview,investigating 18 nurses form 12 community health service centers in Chongqing for training needs;3.Research on the curriculum building of master of nursing specialist postgraduate:Based on the literature review?group discussion?the results ofthe status survey,formulating framework of index system for core competence training of community nurses,and then formed the core competence of community nurses training course index system by Delphi method.Results:1.The average score of the core competence of community nurses was3.36±0.63,legal ethics practice ability(3.63±0.69),communication and coordination ability(3.62±0.66),critical thinking ability(3.36±0.71),community nursing practice ability(3.23±0.65),professional development ability(3.06±0.79);Spearman correlation analysis shows age ? job title ?education status?appointment mode?the income and joining the community nurse training were the influencing factors of the core competence of community nurses in Chongqing;and the multiple linear regression analysis shows job title ? education status and the income were the influencing factors of the core competence of community nurses in Chongqing.2.The training status of community nurses training in Chongqing:The training of community nurses in Chongqing was short-term on the job training,including the introduction to community health services?focus groups(chronic disease patients)health etc,the depth and breadth is not enough,no standardized training program and training evaluation,can't meet the current community health service center needs;The training needs of community nurses training in Chongqing:Community nurses needs mostwere community focus groups(women?children and psychiatric patients)health ?health education skills?community research&management and traditional Chinese medicine knowledge.Most interviewees hope to improve their core competence through training.3.After 3 rounds consultation we formed the index system for core competence training of community nurses,which contained 16first-demensions and 57 secone-demensions.Conclusion:This study analyzed the level of core competency of community nurses,and formed the index system for core competence training of community nurses,which contained 16 first-demensions and 57secone-demensions,and provides guarantee for the quality of community nurse training.
