Objective: To investigate the expression of interleukin-27 receptor mRNA in peripheral blood leukocytes,to understand the role of IL-27 R in the pathogenesis of Sjogren’s syndrome and its clinical significance,to verify whether IL-27 is one of the potential targets for the treatment of SS.Methods: Twenty patients with newly diagnosed Sjogren’s syndrome were selected as the case group.20 healthy subjects were selected as the control group.5 ml of fasting venous blood was collected and the white blood cells were extracted. The IL-27 receptor mRNA was detected by fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction The level of expression. Results: The levels of IL-27RmRNA(GP130 and WSX-1)in SS group were significantly higher than those in normal control group(P <0.05).Conclusion: IL-27 and its receptors may be involved in the pathogenesis of Sjogren’s syndrome.IL-27 and its receptors may be one of the targets for the treatment of Sjogren’s syndrome.
