ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical progression of the new muscle relaxant antagonist medicine which called sugammadex in recent years,and to further explore its safety and efficacy in the antagonistic muscle relaxation field.MethodsBy reviewing a large domestic and foreign related literatures on sugammadex in recent years,the mechanism of action and pharmacokinetic characteristics,clinical application,application in special population,medical interactions and adverse reactions,were summarized.Results and conclusionsSugammadex reduced the concentration of plasma muscle relaxants by the specific binding of amino steroid muscle relaxants in plasma to stabilize the chelate,so that the muscle relaxants at the neuromuscular junction were transferred to the plasma continue to bind to it,and then the chelate through the kidneys excreted in vitro,and ultimately achieve therole of antagonistic muscle relaxation;it can improve the serious allergic reaction of rocuronium and "can not intubation can not breathe" dilemma,it is safe and effective to reverse the moderate and deep neuromuscular blockade induced by rocuronium and vecuronium in healthy adult and clinical electroconvulsive therapy;most of the current studies support its safety and efficacy for children aged 2-18 years,aged,obese and the patients with dysfunction in heart,lung,liver,kidney(except for patients with renal failure)and neuromuscular,but the lack of a large number of clinical data and evidence-based medical support,particularly rare for children under 2 years of age,pregnant women and lactating women and other clinical research;The current routine anesthesia drugs may not interact with sugammadex,but it can interact with toremifene and hormonal contraceptive drugs via unwanted binding,therefore possibly reduced their clinical efficacy and prolonged muscle relaxation time.It has good safety and tolerance,but should still be alert to its potential serious allergic reactions,prolong QTc interval,the risk of bleeding and neurotoxicity and other adverse reactions.Sugammadex has a good application prospects and play an important role in clinical anesthesia and emergency recovery.
