Objective: Compare the developmental dislocation of the hip(DDH)with and health patients in Heze District of Shandong province, and investigate the influence factors in the etiology of DDH.It will be benefit for the disease prevention and health care in this area. Methods: A case-control study was conducted in 121 DDH children(Male 27 and female 94)and 324 normal ones who visited Heze medical college affiliated hospital, the people’s hospital of peony and caoxian county from January 2014 to January 2016.All patients were diagnosed on the basis of ultrasonic results and Graf classification method.Using the developmental dislocation of the hip questionnaire of Heze, all parents’ information was collected. The analysis of variance,t test and x2 test were used for statistical analysis. Results: 1.121 children were diagnosed DDH in 346 suspected children.27 were male and 94 were female(1:3.48).The average age was 205 days.2.There were 324 children volunteers.175 were boys and 149 were girls. The average age was 183 days. There was no significant difference of age between DDH group and the volunteers group.3.The case rate of the abnormal hip of left side was higher than the bilateral sides, and the lowest was on the right side.4.There was significant difference between normal hip group and DDH group in angle α and angle β degrees(t=21.591,,19.307,P<0.0005.).5.The high-risk factors of DDH were gender(x2=38.835,P<0.005),fetal position(x2=14.194,P<0.005),living in the countryside(x2=37.335,P<0.005),wrap the legs(x2=11.480,P<0.005),educational level of mothers(x2=6.274,P<0.05)and genetic history(45.739,P<0.005).Conclusion: 1.Ultrasonography can be a preferred effective method in diagnosis of DDH.2.Some risk factors such as gender, fetal position, living in the countryside, wrapthe legs, educational level of mothers and genetic history, affect the occurrence of developmental dislocation of the hip in Heze District of Shandong province.3.ultrasound screening should be widely carried out in infants and young children in Heze, especially for the high-risk population. It will be benefit for early detection, disease intervention and reducing morbidity.
