Systematic Review Of Meniett Micropressure Therapy For Meniere’s Disease

Purpose:By Meta-analysis,the method of system assessment is used to evaluate the relevance between therapeutic equipment of Meniett low-voltage pulse and the treatment of Meniere’s disease.Methods:According to the established literature search methods,human being studies about English which are published from January 1996 to July2017 are searched from Pubmed,Web of Science,Embase and Cochrane Library.Relevant Chinese literatures about Meniett low-voltage pulse therapy instrument which cures Meniere’s disease are searched from Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Weipu and Wanfang Database and only search for the published before July 2017.All relevant randomized controlled trials and other types of case-control studies are consulted by manual retrieval.And the review manager version 5.2 was used to perform the Meta-analysis of the final study.Results:After literatures were searched fully and systemically according to the retrieval strategy,a total of 149 articles were retrieved by reading the titles and abstracts et..There are 33 articles exclusive of duplicate articles.According to the inclusion criteria,there are 14 English articles and one Chinese article and a total of 474 cases.There are 13 articles which meet the Meta-analysis and the results show that it has effect to Pure-toneAverage(PTA)[MD = 3.31,95% CI(1.29,5.33)],P = 0.001 and the difference has statistical significance.That is to say,the difference has obvious improvement after PTA was treated by Meniett low-voltage pulse therapy instrument.And it has effect to vertigo frequency(MD = 6.81,95% CI(4.62,9.01)],P <0.00001,and the difference has statistical significance.That is to say,vertigo frequency is decreased obviously comparing to pre-treatment by Meniett low-voltage pulse therapy instrument.AAO-HNS function score [MD = 0.63,95% CI(-4.13,5.39)],and the Z value of the combined effect is 9.94,P <0.00001,and the difference has statistical significance.That is to say,the function score has obvious improvement comparing to pre-treatment by Meniett low-voltage pulse therapy instrument.Conclusion:1.Meniett low-pressure pulse therapy instrument is connected with the therapeutic effect of Meniere’s disease.2.For Meniere’s patients with hearing loss,the use of Meniett low-pressure pulse therapy instrument can effectively improve the patient’hearing level.3.The use of Meniett low-pressure pulse therapy instrument can significantly control the symptoms of vetigo in patients with Meniere’s disease.4.After Meniett low-pressure pulse therapy instrument was used,the AAO-HNS function scores were obviously higher than that before treatment.
