| Objectives To explore rehabilitative nursing effects of biofeedback therapy on cognitive function and emotional state(anxiety and depression)of patient with cognitive and emotional dysfunction after coronary artery bypass graft. Methods The study subjects were select in the Worker’s Hospital of Tangshan, from 2015 June to 2016 June 80 case of cognitive and emotional dysfunction after coronary artery bypass surgery. We randomly divided into experimental group(n=40)and the control group(n=40).The control group accepted conventional nursing, including postoperation care, health education and psychological nursing. The experimental group received biofeedback therapy in addition to the care of control group.Biofeedback therapy is based on modern physical science signals, administered through computer aided software running training. The study implemented biofeedback therapy through training instrument for the patients.Biofeedback instrument mainly collect some signals of physiological activities of human body, through processing and amplification, and eventually transform into a visual signal, which is vivid and easy to perceive. We support the patients intervention training repeatedly by regulating body, regulating breath and regulating heart.Patients gradually master the method of debugging their physiological activity, through the training for a period of time. Finally gradually achieve their best state of physiological activity. Two weeks pre-intervention and post-intervention,the two groups received Montreal cognitive assessment,in order to evaluate their cognitive function. Moreover,One week pre-intervention and post-intervention,and two weeks after intervention,Type A behavior Questionnaire(TABQ),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depress scale(SDS)were recorded before and after intervention.Using SPSS17.0 statistical software for data analysis, quantitative variables were summarized in means and standard deviation, data between the two groups were compared using independent samples t-test,data before and after the intervention were compared using rank-sum test, repeated measurement data with repeated measurements analysis of variance.P<0.05 for the difference was statistically significant. Results 1 Effect of biofeedback therapy on cognitive function after coronary artery bypass surgery: 1)The comparison of cognitive function scores between the two groups before and after the intervention:(1)The comparison of cognitive function score of two groups before the intervention: There was no significant statistical difference in individual scores and the total standard scores between the groups(P(29)0.05).(2)The comparison of cognitive function scores of two groups after the intervention:The attention and language and delayed recall individual scores and the total standard scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).2)The comparison of cognitive function scores before and after the intervention of the two groups:(1)The comparison of cognitive function scores before and after the intervention in the experimental group: the naming, attention, abstract thinking, delayed recall individual score and total standard score significantly increased for the experimental group(P<0.05).(2)The comparison of cognitive function scores before and after the intervention in the control group: There was no significant statistical difference in any cognitive domains(P(29)0.05),only total standard score significantly improved for the control group(P<0.05).2 Effect of biofeedback therapy on anxiety state, depression state and type A behavior pattern in patients after coronary artery bypass: 1) The comparison of various index of two groups before the intervention: There was no significant statistical difference in various index scores between the groups(P<0.05).2)Repeated measures ANOVA showed a significant main effect of time factor, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),ANOVA also showed a significant main effect of interaction between time and group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Factors between groups shows that the differences in SAS and SDS was statistically significant(P < 0.05),while no significant main effect of TABQ(P<0.05).TABQ,SAS and SDS were obviously decreased in experimental group than those in control group. Conclusions Biofeedback therapy can improve cognitive function and the effect of rehabilitation of patients after coronary artery bypass graft.Biofeedback therapy can regulate negative emotional state and turn Type A behavior pattern of patients after coronary artery bypass graft. |
