Objective To investigate the relationship between serum levels of matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP9)and the severity of coronary artery stenosis in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods 48 patients with ACS were selected in emergency internal medicine and cardiovascular department of the eastern Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from March 2015 to November 2015,the level of MMP9 were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Coronary angiography was performed by the international diameter and vascular integration methods.Using the international Gensini scoring system to evaluate the results of coronary angiography,According to the scores were divided into group A,group B and group C,group A 0≤30(n=15),group B 30~70(n=14),group C>70(n=19),respectively.Healthy subjects were used as control group(n=12).The level of MMP9 was also used ELISA to measure.compared the level of MMP9 indifferent group.Statistical analysis of the data was performed by SPSS 20.0 software.Results Groups divided according to the Gensini score of coronary artery,the level of MMP9 was gradually increased with the integral(group A<group B<group C).There were differences between every two groups(P < 0.05).One-way ANOVA was used to analyse the average level of MMP9 in the three groups showed that F=3.499(P=0.039 P < 0.05).Correlation analysis between the level of MMP9 and coronary angiography Gensini integral showed that r=28.516(P < 0.001).Take group A,group B and group C as the research object,the level of MMP9 as the diagnosis classification value,makes the ROC curve shows that area under the curve(AUC)is 0.639,Compared with AUC=0.5,there was statistically significant(P < 0.05).2.There was statistically significant between patients with ACS and control group according to the Gensini score(t=-11.938 P<0.001).Conclusion The level of MMP9 in serum of patients with ACS is positive correlated with the degree of coronary artery stenosis,the level of MMP9 can be used as an independent factor of risk stratification and prognosis in patients with ACS.
