Objective: To summarize and analyze the clinical features of anaphylactoid purpura, for raising the impression and understanding about the disease. Methods: Retrospective study of the 140 cases of anaphylactoid purpura patients from the Dermatology Department of the Second Clinical Hospital of Lanzhou University between March 2011 to December 2015.Name,age,native place, nation, the first symptom, course of disease, clinical manifestion, comorbidities and laboratory tests were collected by reviewing medical charts. All available data are analyzed statistically. Results: There were 78 male patients and 62 female patients, and the incidence was separately 55.71% and 44.29%,and male to female ratio was 1.26:1 and mean age of the cases was 17.35±12.66 years. There were 53 patients in spring and the incidence was 37.86%,27 patients in summer and the incidence was 19.29%,29 in autumn and the incidence was 27.86%,21 in winter and the incidence was 15%.There were 109 patients less than 20 years old and the incidence was 77.86%,31 patients more than 20 years old and the incidence was 22.14%.47 patients got arthralgia and the incidence was 33.6%.45 patients got bellyache and the incidence was 32.9%.57 patients got renal impairment and the incidence was 40.7%.57 patients got digestive system damage and the incidence was 40.7%.There was no statistically significant difference between sexes between adults and children(χ2=0.271,P=0.602).The incidence of anaphylactoid purpura was higher in spring and autumn, accounting for 37.86% and 27.86% respectively.Children were more common in spring than in 39.45%,41.94% in adults and 41.94% in autumn, but there was no statistical difference between different groups(χ2 = 5.102,P = 0.164).Between children and adults, the most important predisposing factors were 63.30% and 48.39%,respectively.There was no significant difference between the two groups(χ2= 4.240,P = 0.237).The proportion of kidney pattern in children was lower in 9 cases(8.26%)than in adult patients(22.58%),the difference was statistically significant(χ2 = 4.892,P = 0.027).The proportion of kidney damage in adult patients was 17 cases(50.84%),but there was no significant difference between the two groups in the system damage and its components(P > 0.05).Conclusions:(1)There were no significant differences in demographic between children’s anaphylactoid purpura and adults’ one in the Dermatology Department.(2)There were no significant differences in etiological characteristics between children’s anaphylactoid purpura and adults’ one in the Dermatology Department.(3)The severity of anaphylactoid purpura in adults of the Dermatology Department was severer than that in children, mainly presented in the kidney damage.
